Francesca Pavillard-Cain

2021-2023

As COVID crazyness started to wind down my life in both the Northern and Souther hemisphere has been on track. I have found myself surrounded by professions that have helped me achieve my goals to grow my career.

Yellowstone Club,PSIA and Women of Winter

I continued my work at Yellowstone Club as a Snowsports supervisor, where I find mentoring instructors through their snow-sports career extremely rewarding. I also started to run YC Freestyle and Freeride competition. The addition of these events has been beyond rewarding. I enjoy organizing, implanting and watching the events come to fruition and the membership could not be happier with the addition of these events.

My work with PSIA gives me yet another avenue to influence instructors in the Northern Rocky Mountain region. I am thrilled with the talent that comes through the division and excited to share my experience and knowledge with those coming through the system. I give my all when providing instruction to skiers, freestyle participants and telemark skiers in all types of exam and educational courses.

Although I still sit on the board of directors for Women of Winter and help whenever I can, I am overjoyed to take a step back from coordinating sponsorship to allow PSIA national to take the rains. PSIA has taken over these events and they are now nationally recognized. Scholarship recipients participate in Women of Winter events that occur throughout the country.

Cardrona- Treble Cone and NZSIA

Last Southern winter I sat my NZSIA trainer's certification. I was delighted with the entire process and felt like I learned so much valuable information. The icing on top of the cake was that I achieved my Trainer's certification and look forward to apply to be an NZSIA examiner. On top of this accomplishment I also oversaw, ran and coached our Freeride x Race program. We had 30 athletes and 3 coaches. It was an extremely successful season. The hard work of both the coaches and athletes was apparent and we finished the season feeling accomplished and proud. HPC has grown its coaching program and we will be incorporating a new development program for athletes called "Academy". I am honored and excited to run this Academy program and look forward to organizing an even bigger program with nearly 100 kids and over 10 coaches.
